1. He or she will be eligible for registration by Bangladesh Medical and Dental
council as a registered medical practitioner. Registration is mandatory for
pursuing any activity where clinical attributes are a component.
2. After being a registered medical or dental graduate one will have the
following opportunity:
a. may continue private clinical practice as
self-employer
b. May compete for jobs in Health Services of
Bangladesh to be recruited periodically by Public Services Commission through
qualifying BCS examination. The jobs in Health Services are strictly controlled
by the civil service rules of Bangladesh.
c. May compete for ranks in Armed forces Medical Crops.
d. May compete for jobs in NGOs and organizations in
private sector or public sector other than Health Services.
e. May seek jobs through appropriate agencies at home &
abroad, fulfilling the criteria and regulations of the respective countries.
f. May pursue for higher studies in clinical and non
clinical disciplines in Institutions at home and abroad.
g. May seek employment at any Autonomous of Private
hospital or Academic Institute.
3. Career planning can be pursued through the support of self or of Government or
of other financing agencies depending upon fulfilling criteria of the respective
organization. If successful that may be ended up in any of the followings.
a. Speciality or Consultancy jobs in public or private
organization
b. Self employed private practice
c. Teaching jobs in public or private Medical Colleges
and Institute.
